Their Vision: Access, community, fun
Their Story: Peace Peloton began with a bike ride demonstration in support of social and economic equity for people of color – in particular, Black people. From there, we grew into a means to support and invest in Black livelihoods, communities, and Black-owned businesses and enterprises through organized bicycle rides, community development events, and sustainable economic enrichment programs. Our anchor program, Fresh Air, invites cyclists to Black-owned businesses where we allow commerce to happen and encourage return patronage before taking the peloton on a bike ride, usually through neighborhoods of historical Black significance, then ending at another Black owned establishment.
In partnership we help businesses develop strategies to capture 25% of the newly introduced customer base as a sustainable source of income through our passport program, monthly specials and promotions, and ad campaigns.
